Art and Culture | During the Spring Festival, Xinsu Village in Jieyang holds a traditional folk event known as "Jumping Over the Bonfire." This ritual is an important way for villagers to welcome the new year, pray for blessings, and ward off misfortune. On this special day, the entire village gathers, carrying lanterns and following a procession of deities through the streets, before culminating in the final act of leaping over the bonfire outside the ancestral hall.

春节期间，揭阳市新苏村都会举行一项充满传统色彩的民俗活动——“跳火堆”。这一活动是村民们迎接新年、祈福消灾的重要仪式。每逢这一天，全村人都会不约而同地聚集在一起，提着灯笼，跟着游神队伍一起在村里巡游，最后在祠堂外跳火堆。
